Leading scholars spoke at the ECCE conference

The day after the first ECCE academic conference on SRI and CSR (last-year we co-hosted the event with UNPRI), I noticed how much adreline I got from an abundance of inspiring studies. The last two days we have digested exiting presentations and discussions by great minds from around the world. I have yet to see an event where so many new and thought-provoking studies have been presented in just two days. Speakers included Harrison Hong (Princeton), Meir Statman (Santa Clara), Marcin Kacperczyk (NYU), John Nofsinger (Washington State), Amir Barnea (Claremont McKenna University), Sebastien Pouget (Toulouse), Chendi Zheng (Warwick), and ECCE's Daniel Hann and Paul Smeets. In addition, the event encouraged positive dialogues with practioners who have a well-established name in the industry, such as Lloyd Kurtz (Nelson Capital Management), Gaetan Herinckx (Dexia Asset Management), and Wilco van Heteren (Robeco).
The conference also pointed out that the field of SRI has attracted researchers who are willing to take a serious and critical look at SRI. The lessons that they teach us will have important implications for the SRI community...
How do we proceed? We reached a consensus: let there be another event next year...
The presentations that were on the conference program, as well as feedback, will be available shortly.
